System Verification Based on Modified Interval Analysis
نویسنده
چکیده
Interval arithmetic was original developed to estimate rounding errors on floating-point computations but it is used in a wide variety of applications from constraint solvers and global optimizers to power and timing analysis of software processes. The objective of interval analysis is to determine the output ranges (or interval) of a computation set. The main problem of classical interval analysis is the overestimation of the output ranges and its dependency on the coding of the system behavior. In this paper, a modified interval analysis method is presented. The method reduces the interval overestimation and it is independent of the coding. This modified interval analysis is the kernel of a new verification technique that enables the verification of functional properties in system level descriptions and obtains functional test vectors.

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a mathematical programming-based approach for evaluates the relative efficiency of a set of DMUs (Decision Making Units). The relative efficiency of a DMU is the result of comparing the inputs and outputs of the DMU and those of other DMUs in the PPS (Production Possibility Set). Also, in Data Envelopment Analysis various models have been developed in order to...
متن کاملVerification of an Evolutionary-based Wavelet Neural Network Model for Nonlinear Function Approximation
Nonlinear function approximation is one of the most important tasks in system analysis and identification. Several models have been presented to achieve an accurate approximation on nonlinear mathematics functions. However, the majority of the models are specific to certain problems and systems. In this paper, an evolutionary-based wavelet neural network model is proposed for structure definiti...
متن کاملFree vibration analysis of multi-cracked micro beams based on Modified Couple Stress Theory
In this article, the size effect on the dynamic behavior of a simply supported multi-cracked microbeam is studied based on the Modified Couple Stress Theory (MCST). At first, based on MCST, the equivalent torsional stiffness spring for every open edge crack at its location is calculated; in this regard, the Stress Intensity Factor (SIF) is al...
متن کاملA short introduction to two approaches in formal verification of security protocols: model checking and theorem proving
In this paper, we shortly review two formal approaches in verification of security protocols; model checking and theorem proving. Model checking is based on studying the behavior of protocols via generating all different behaviors of a protocol and checking whether the desired goals are satisfied in all instances or not. We investigate Scyther operational semantics as n example of this...
